What Is A Warm Front Help To Heat Grant ?

If you are a homeowner or a private tenant and are in receipt of a Low Income  UK benefit, you should be able to claim help to reduce your heating bills by way of a grant from the government to access lots of free heating & insulation grants.

These grants usually cover up to 100% of the cost of upgrading your current old heating & fitting new insulation.

Who Is Eligible For A Fuel Poverty Grant?

As a general rule, these grants are usually earmarked for people who are older, disabled or on a low income benefit.

Only homeowners or private sector tenants can apply.

Social housing tenants have to apply to their local authority or council who usually have their own funding allocated for such improvements.

PLEASE NOTE – Whether assistance is granted is at the discretion of your local authority or council as there are no national rules

Are There Fuel Poverty Grants Available For Disabled People?

Yes.

These grants apply to disabled people on qualifying benefits. However from April next year , disabled benefits are being withdrawn from the Fuel Poverty Schemes so they will no longer be eligible.
